Barnett Schultz has been actively involved in the Chicago area health care scene for twenty years. Having experience working in an HMO environment, a practice management company, and a hospital has afforded Mr. Schultz the opportunity to contribute to many areas of the health care industry. From marketing and public relations to contracting and regulatory matters, Barnett has had a positive impact enhancing revenue and quality.
Over the years, Barnett developed marketing campaigns for governmental entities and private industry resulting in attracting and maintaining those accounts, increasing revenues for the business. As the editor of several newsletters, Barnett has kept patients and providers informed. His sense of creativity and confidence in sharing ideas with others in the group has created opportunities for business development.
Mr. Schultz' reputation is that of one who accomplishes where others have failed. One of his great assets is nurturing relationships between Hospital Administration and physicians. Physicians have commented that he makes things happen seamlessly. Working with public payee programs, the relationships Barnett has built over the years have increased the efficiency of the reimbursement process for several physician practices.
In addition to his work with Health Management Services, Inc., Barnett is the Executive Administrator for two venerable Chicago area medical societies. His involvement with the Society of Medical History of Chicago and the Chicago Society of Internal Medicine has made a huge difference in keeping these societies relevant for the 21st century. Arranging for quality speakers while maintaining the fiscal integrity and membership of these organizations has been a challenging opportunity, but he has managed these societies with creative energy.
